Statutes of the association

Chapter Α'

Establishment and purpose of the association

Article 1

Founded, at Mithymna, an association under the title "Agape Women’s Charitable and Cultural Association of Mithimna" ("Agape Married and Single Women's Association of Mithimna") having the purpose of

  1. offering of aid to Mithymnian soldiers situated at the lines of battle, by sending a variety of needed items;
  2. cultural development of its members through lectures, festivals and provision of educational magazines etc.
  3. moral and material support of school children by providing books, shoes, clothes etc.
  4. support of families in need in the community of Mythimna and others in need with the approval of the Board of the Association.

With the passage of time the needs changed, the association's horizons expanded, but the goals and values that led to the foundation remain alive.
